How to Use the Flowflex COVID-19 Antigen Home Testing Kit?
Flowflex COVID-19 antigen home test is pretty straightforward to administer and an adult can easily handle the pieces of equipment. There is a guidebook present inside the antigen test kit which you need to follow.
However, if you find the instruction book hard to get by then, here are the major steps for a successful Flowflex COVID-19 antigen home test.
STEP 1: First, wash your hand with soap for at least 1 minute. Or sanitize your hand with a sanitizer containing more than 75% alcohol in it.
STEP 2: Unseal the swab from the wrapper without touching the fabric, which is on either side of the swab.
STEP 3: Slowly, at a mild pace, insert the tip of the fabric into one nostril (nearly 2.5cm from the edge of the nostril) and gently rotate 5 times brushing against the nostril.
STEP 4: If you do not get much swab sample from one nostril then do the same rotation on another nostril using the same swab, without replacing the swab.
STEP 5: Place the tip of the swab into the Extraction Buffer Tube so it is in the liquid. Rotate the swab around while squeezing the tube for about 30 seconds. And, pinch the walls of the Extraction Buffer Tube as you remove the swab so every drop of liquid is rinsed.
WARNING: Immediately wash or seek medical help if the liquid from the extraction buffer tube gets on your skin or in your eyes.
STEP 6: Firmly attach the Dropper to the tube and compress the Extraction Buffer Tube to place 4 drops of the liquid into the specimen well (S) on the Test Cassette. Ensure that you are dropping the liquid and not an air bubble.
NOTE: Make sure the test kit is on a clean flat surface. Also, do not move the test kit cassette during the test.
STEP 7: Set a timer of 15 minutes and read the result when the timer reaches 15-30 minutes. Do not read after 30 minutes have passed.
How to determine the result?
- If two lines appear, even faint lines, it shows the test is Positive. To be accurate, one colored line should be seen in the control line region (C), and another in the test line region (T).
- Likewise, if only one colored line appears in the control line region (C), the result is Negative. No line appears in the test line region (T) if the test is Negative.
- Similarly, if no colored appears, or one colored line appears in the test line region, the result is considered Void or Invalid.
Thus, this is how you take a Flowflex COVID-19 antigen home test. If the test is unclear, you should take another Flowflex antigen rapid test more carefully.

Do antigen tests detect Omicron?
